The McMurdo’s Camp office occasionally receives material promoting commercial Holmes-related products or services. If they sound interesting we sometimes mention them, or maybe we just ignore them, not wanting to become a commercial site. But we believe just about anyone interested enough in the great detective to devote time and effort to the subject deserves credit and provides a worthwhile service by promoting the legacy of something we all enjoy. So we now have a “Holmes Commerce” page where all unsolicited commercial Holmes material can be viewed, with appropriate information included. Material will be left on site for 90 days, or until no longer timely. Whether it is a book, magazine, deerstalker catalogue, or CD or you-name-it, it will go up. Naturally, dumb, stupid, or offensive material will be weeded out.
We also sometimes review books, movies, plays, etc., by choice, which are generally included in our “CULTURAL ITEMS” section.
McMurdo’s camp does not solicit or receive remuneration for any of this.
